FDlogger’s Other Features
FDlogger has many other features that I don’t use, but I will list them here. For more detailed information on these features, they are explained in the manual here.
Additional Features
- Cloudlog Useage
- QRZ, HamDB, HamQTH
- XPlanet Marker File
- Easy Contact Editing
- Super Check Partial – Like N3FJP
- Section Partial Check
- DUP Checking
- Autofill
- Generates necessary files for ARRL submission – see note below
One caveat with respect to ARRL log submission. All Linux operating systems end text files with a LF character whereas Windoze programs end text files with CR/LF. Apparently the ARRL uses Windoze computers. This is an issue with all linux based logging programs submitted to the ARRL.
So in order to submit your files to the ARRL, you will need to run your log files through some sort of utility that makes your files compatible. Typically you would use unix2dos.
Finally I would like the thank Mike Bridak, K6GTE, for taking the time to write this program. I will definitely be using FieldDayLogger in my Field Days in the future.
