Take a Screenshot / Image Capture On a Mac – OSX

For a previous article, I needed to take a screenshot on a Mac computer, and didn t know how to to it. Capturing an image on a Mac is easy, just not intuitive.

There are several ways to take a screenshot, here are a couple of ways to do it. The first way to take a screenshot is if you want to capture the entire screen. To do this, do the following:

1. Press and hold the Command and the Shift at the same time.
2. Then tap the 3 key.

This will place a a screenshot of your entire computer screen on your desktop. If you just want a screenshot of just a portion of your screen, just do the following:

1. Press and hold the Command the Shift, and the 4 key at the same time.

2. While holding the above, use your mouse to select a portion of your screen you want to capture.
